Black Ops Pre-Order Pack Winner!

Hi-de-ho, bloppers. Last week I ran a contest to give away a Call of Duty: Black Ops pre-order pack containing exclusive XBL/PS Home avatar gear, a media disc with exclusive videos and wallpapers and an animation celluloid featuring action from the game and I’m pleased to report that, from the pretty sizeable number of entries, there can only be one winner. And that winner is Tin Aye from London, who should be on the receiving end of some post by the end of this week.

Commiserations to everyone else, and well done to everyone but one entrant for getting the subject line spot on, making my job a lot easier (and making me less grumpy about spending money on posting the prize away at the end of the day). CONTEST: Win the complete Blue Toad Murder Files!

Blue Toad Murder Files, that fantastically British episodic whodunit on the PlayStation Network, ended its run of episodes a little while ago and since then the chaps over at Relentless Software have seen fit to package the whole thing together in one great big digital boxset made up of all six episodes.

To celebrate this, we’ve got four codes — two for Europe, two for the US — of the complete Blue Toad Murder Files to give away to you, our Sarcastic readership. To enter, you’ve got to be hilarious, or clever, or witty, or something like that. As charismatic as Blue Toad Murder Files, basically.

APB Contest Winner!

The jury’s out folks, we have ourselves a winner in the APB t-shirt contest, and it’s a stonker. The winner is being notified of their victory as this blog post is being typed (well, just after it, I can’t actually do so without an extra monitor and an extra pair of hands) and can bask in the glory of winning a t-shirt for a game that’s not out for yonks.

E3 CONTEST REMINDER: Win an APB t-shirt

E3 is a time for freebies. It’s also a time when I remember that I have things that I don’t remember getting. One such example is a lovely APB t-shirt that is in my possession and since EA were just showing it off today I figured there was no time like the present to give it away.

If you feel like getting a free t-shirt promoting a game that isn’t out for yonks – hey, it might make someone envious if you try hard enough to rub it in their face – then here’s what you gotta do.

Inspired by a chat in the Sarcastic Gamer Livestream chatroom, I want you to come up with your best gaming-themed colour, and explain why it’s such a good colour. For example, you could talk about “Mirror’s Edge Red”, “Gran Turismo Beige” or “Modern Warfare Mildly Interesting Brown”. Then explain to me in the cleverest, or the funniest, way possible why it’s such an awesome colour (or why it’s the worst use of a colour in a game ever) and the best one gets the shirt.

Again, name the colour, and tell me why it’s the best.

LocoRoco Contest Reminder (Or “Look Guys, I’m Desperate Here”)

Do you want to win these LocoRoco goodies? Maybe you think they’re too girly, in which case I’ll call you sexist. Maybe you think they’re too childish, in which case I’ll brand you stuffy.
